Alumni Services
When you leave Charter Oak, after successfully completing your treatment, there is ongoing support for you in your recovery.
Aftercare
In an effort to provide a continuance of quality care, the Adult Program offers aftercare groups. The focus of the group is to ease your transition from hospital to home, work and social environments. The group is an extension of your hospitalization and is offered to you at no additional charge for a period of twelve months after discharge. There are two separate aftercare groups, one for psychiatric needs and one for addictive disease needs. Participants have the opportunity to attend up to 6 hrs/ week worth of meetings, many hours more than other facilities offer.
Alumni Groups
The Alumni Group, for patients, is a special association of recovering people who have graduated from our program and continue to meet regularly, to have fun together and to support each other in a constructive new lifestyle. The Alumni Group is a no-cost service.
Located at the hospital, this aftercare group is run by the alumni and supervised by staff.
A strong supportive network is provided to continue the recovery process. Current topics are brought forward by the members for support and feedback.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to previous patients to utilize this valuable resource.
